I contacted the original developer, Daniel, who confirmed it looked like Edit Flow was dead in the water and referred me to Automattic.
I contacted Automattic, which resulted in a response from WordPress.com Support who said “We don’t officially support the Edit Flow plugin here” and referred me back to this forum. Too bad, as there are many useful Edit Flow features.
