In reply to: [Gutenberg] Are they listening? I doubt it@clorith: You seem to take this very personally. I’m sorry, that was not my intention.
But I keep my point: users are sharing their experiences with Gutenberg here and add a star rating to that. That’s a ‘review’.
My original post was never intended to ask for help, it was a review with the conclusion: this is a half-baked product at best, why in the world was this pushed into core? And more importantly: why in the world (it seems) is no-one responsible or actively involved acknowledging that this is a half-baked product which should have taken way more time in thorough testing before releasing it as a core module, if at all?
That’s the question in my original post, that’s the question posters here have reacted to, and that’s the question still open.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Are they listening? I doubt itWith all due respect @clorith, but I think this is the Review section, not the Support section. The posters in this thread are reacting on the original title of this thread. I wouldn’t call that hijacking.
Other posters in this section give their review of working with Gutenberg, they are not specifically asking for help, they just want to give their opinion. If they wanted help, they’d go to the Support section.
If this is not the place to review/discuss user’s experiences with Gutenberg, where then?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Very unstable, and sucks with third party plugins@goldnuggets24 While I do agree Gutenberg is not a good solution, I disagree that it doesn’t work with other page builders. It does, with most I think (I know it does with Elementor).
Whether Gutenberg is a good experience…, well I have my opinion, but it’s simply not true it doesn’t work with other page builders.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Are they listening? I doubt itOriginal reviewer here.
@clorith Appreciate that you have kept this review thread open. Thank you. It’s a well known fact that happy users do not go looking for places to tell everyone they are happy
@clorith You’re right, and I’m aware of that.Still, the number of unhappy users (especially if you count since the introduction of WP 5.0, only a little over 2 weeks ago) is overwhelming.
That’s a fact you cannot deny, I think. As far as I’m concerned, it comes down to: Gutenberg was introduced way too soon. Not mature, and causing too many problems for too many users.
Just to name one (which I did in my original post): repeatedly failing to do a simple ‘save’. And I’m certainly not the only one having reported that.
That ‘bug’ alone should have raised red flags and a decision to not release it into core, not to mention other bugs reported by users here.
