Thanks folks, just realised while I thought the error was only appearing on the dashboard it was also appearing right at the bottom of most pages, so I’ve implemented the fix and all seems fine!

I’m having the same problem but can someone explain with the fix outlined will the problem recur when another update comes along?

I already have the pro version, although it was the free version which remains installed when you go pro that seems to cause this problem. I really like it.

I’m wondering if the reason I lost the dashboard when everyone else didn’t was that I have the pro version as well.

In my panic to get this sorted I ended up copying the whole backed up public_html directory over the old one and it seems to have sorted everything!

Control panel is now back and all seems well. Scary stuff for amateurs like me but at least I learn something every time!

I can’t get into my Dashboard so I guess I’m going to have to restore a backup. I have FTP access but have never done this before.

I don’t have any backup/restore software, just the standard WordPress daily backups.

Can anyone give me a bit of advice?

Do I simply restore the whole public_html directory, or just part of it and is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks! There’s no update showing in the updates area? Will it appear there or is there another way to do it?

Must be something you did ?? It works fine on my page. Documentation could be better but wasn’t really needed.
