had to do this first and then i can manipulate post, apply tags and so on.

shortcodes works only if in php file, like in single.php page.php you see <?php the_content(); ?> – it calls apply_filters function.

so how it will display your content if you do not echo it?

<?php $content = get_the_content(); ?>
where is the echo?

do this <?php echo get_the_content(); ?>

No need to disable any plugins when upgrading… it have nothing to do with upgrading. There is something wrong in your installation, not with wordpress. i ALWAYS upgrading without backuping DB or disabling plugins-it works always.

how do they infect the blog? by ftp or holes in worpress php’s?

cause my passwords all are min of 12 chars with chars like ‘\*&*^% and so on..so how do they modify your files?? By cracking your passwords or what?

and if not by ftp -so all yu have to do is chmod your php files to 444 and it will fix it ?? and disable chmod function in php.ini so they can’t execute it in php.

maybe your server doesn’t have XML-RPC. it must to be installed, if you’re using shared hosting-you cannot do that, need VPS or dedicated server to install php/apache modules
