A general question is: Can the plugin be used on the development site and then transferred to the production site?

But the screenshots show usage of caption field.
I needed to use both caption and description fields, so in this case I switched to Elementor gallery, where this is possible.

Update.
I would like to add the image description field to image lightbox.
Alternatively I would like to use the Elementor lightbox, which I can setup globally for the site.
The elementor lightbox, which is used by Elementor Basic gallery and Gallery can display both caption and description.
Unfortunately the Elementor Basic gallery and Gallery doesn’t support pagination.
