I have been deactivating plugins and testing each time I reactivate and it appears that the clash is with “Avada Builder” and this only happens in the Edge browser.

After that optimisation took place (after the 4th attempt) I did the update to 15.1.1 and now all is well again.
Which begs the question, how frequently should optimisation be done?

OK, we may be able to do what you say later today but can you tell me why the the Yoast tester and the optimisation failed after I had restored from backup and reverted to state before this update?
Presumably the optimisation process should work properly should have worked then.

Thanks for responding.

Our versions are as follows:-
Wordpress = 5.5.1
PHP = 7.4.9
Avada = 7.1

There were no changes made to the site in the last week. No new plugins installed in the last 3 months. We work on the basis of. “If it ain’t broke….”

Meanwhile, we have reverted to state before the Yoast update. We ran the Yoast tester and the optimisation failed.

The UK and USA are separate shipping zones.
I think what is confusing me is that Shipping Classes appear to be universal ie the cover all zones so the work-around I have been using is to create a new class for each product for the USA and make that zero cost ie free shipping.

It looks like a messy way to do it. Also, it appears to be dependent on the buyer selecting USA as his location on the Basket page before checkout. Is this what you are recommending?
Is there not a cleaner way to make it free shipping for all customers in USA for any product?
I asked about geo-location because I had a potential purchaser in Spain saying he couldn’t pay and it was because I had not set up Spain as a place I sell to.

Maybe my aging grey cells haven’t got it sussed yet!

I’ve been in contact with PP Merchant Technical Services and they have spent a lot of time trying to suss this out and they have confirmed that it is not due to anything they can find.

Please have another closer look at this.
