Hi guys, sorry but it would be quite tricky to enable cropping in the frontend. The main issue would be security (so the user cannot crop other images by playing with the urls).

plugin supports only ‘hard crop’ image sizes.
In your case you would need to register the size this way: add_image_size( ‘slider’, 680, 350, true );

Can you try to go to the plugin’s settings page and re-save the settings?
Should be fixed in v1.07
