Indeed there was an old version of php running on the system I tried to activate the plugin. With a current Version everything works well. ??

On 4.5.2 I still have acitvation errors with version 1.0.3:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /srv/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wpdoodlez/WPdoodlez.php on line 83
