In reply to: Can't find Enterprise themeFrom that blog post: “and will soon be available… in the WordPress Themes Directory, for self-hosted www.remarpro.com users.”
That clearly means that they’re going to free the theme and put it in the themes directory. What’s taking so long??

In reply to: Automatic upgrade FTP password bugDoes anyone else want to test this to see if it’s a wordpress bug or host-specific issue? I’m hosted with dotable.com
Just create an ftp user with a password containing some special characters ($%*&) and try to install or delete a plugin through the admin panel using that ftp account. If that fails, test the ftp account in a client.

In reply to: Updated to 2.7.1 but stills notice me of a new updateLook in the wp-config-sample.php to make sure you really have the 2.7.1 files. (When I downloaded through the WordPress admin panel, it said 2.7.1 but it turned out to be 2.7). In that file, look for the link to the secret key generator. If that link starts with https://api… then you have 2.7. The change in 2.7.1 is to a secure page: https://api…
If you do have 2.7.1, then I can’t help you any further.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wp 2.7 error: Failed to connect to FTP Server https://I had a similar problem, I kept getting this error when trying to upgrade plugins or wordpress itself:
Error: There was an error connecting to the server, Please verify the settings are correct.
I just figured out that it was a password problem. I had the password correct, but the wordpress automatic upgrader doesn’t work if your password contains special characters (e.g. +,*,\). I tested with an alpha-numeric (letters and numbers only) password and it works just fine.
Try creating an FTP user with a no-special-characters password. Also, for hostname I use: https://ftp.domainname.com

In reply to: Updated to 2.7.1 but stills notice me of a new updateJust completed the manual upgrade with the real 2.7.1. No issues. Problem solved.

In reply to: Updated to 2.7.1 but stills notice me of a new updateFigured it out. I downloaded 2.7.1 from the link inside the admin panel, but on closer inspection it was not 2.7.1 but just 2.7. (I looked at the code of a few files to see if the changes were actually there.) So I actually just swapped the same files. I wonder if there’s a problem with that download link in the admin panel.
Trying it again now with the real 2.7.1 downloaded directly from www.remarpro.comForum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Updated to 2.7.1 but stills notice me of a new updateSame here, I just did a manual upgrade and it’s not recognizing it. Still telling me to upgrade to 2.7.1.
Anyone know what’s up with this?

In reply to: [Plugin: TinyMCEComments] Not working with nested comments in 2.7Yeah, I noticed that too. Deactivating it until that gets fixed.
Please fix soon!

In reply to: [Plugin: TinyMCEComments] ver 0.4.5 not compatible with WP Security Scan 2.3I just ran into this problem too… discovered by trial and error that the WP Security Scan 2.3 was preventing it from working.
mk: do you think you could fix this, or at least put a mention in the plugin page? Security Scan is a fairly popular plugin, so people are bound to run into this problem.
