In reply to: [Spam protection, Anti-Spam, FireWall by CleanTalk] Setting wont’ stickI haven’t had a chance but go ahead and mark it closed.
Does this happen with the Widget Options Extended (Paid) plugin? If not, then you can find your answer: What’s different with that code?
That’s great news. Glad it’s all worked out!
@gilles24 Did you clear the Browser cache and any caching plugins you might be using like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc…?
@marketingfire I was able to replicate the issue on your Demo website.
Try going into Settings –> Widget Options and look for “Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options” and click Enable if it’s not already turned on. I don’t use a Gutenberg theme so it’s not something I can duplicate. I’m sure the folks from this company can help you once they respond.
Not sure what happened but it magically disappeared. I disabled the plugin, cleared the cache, re-enabled it, got the annoying message again and clicked close and it hasn’t come back. Maybe they turned off the Push notification on their end.
I don’t know if this will help, but have you tried going into JetPack Settings –> Writing and at the bottom under the section Widgets, turn off “Enable widget visibility controls to display widgets only on particular posts or pages”. You don’t want that on as Widget Options does the same thing.

In reply to: [Spam protection, Anti-Spam, FireWall by CleanTalk] Setting wont’ stickThis is what I had to do when there was a previous problem and I swore I’d never do that again. I can’t even export the current settings as it wants me to “upgrade” to a higher-priced package. There are about 50 different settings and the list is so long I can’t even take a screenshot so I’ll know what they were. Do you have any non-stupid suggestions?

In reply to: [Spam protection, Anti-Spam, FireWall by CleanTalk] Setting wont’ stickHi Serge, I cleared the cache twice (WP Rocket) and the setting still won’t stick.
Any idea when someone is going to address this topic?
I’m having the same problem as retrojimmy where it won’t save the visibility settings. This is causing problems as I have one widget I don’t want to appear on the front page. The settings simply won’t stick after I hit save. Using latest version of Jetpack, WP, and PHP 8.1. Did you ever come out with a fix or figure out why this is happening?

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast Panel Keeps Closing In EditorI upgraded the server software to PHP 8.1 and the issue seems to have resolved itself. Go figure. Thanks for getting back!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Sharing Buttons not workingI switched to a different plugin. I didn’t have time to wait over two weeks for a response. I’m also switching other sites I manage for other people to a different social share plugin. The less Jetpack the better. Pathetic support.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sharing ButtonsYes. I deactivated every plugin, one at a time, and the problem wouldn’t resolve itself. Emptied cache (server and browser) and cleared cookies, to no avail. I finally had to install another plugin for sharing posts on social media. Not a single issue.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sharing ButtonsThanks for getting back to me. The problem with switching to a generic theme like 2022 is that the problem only occurs if you’re logged out of the site, so that won’t do me any good. The Health Check plugin’s troubleshooting mode does that for you and only the admin can see the generic browser. It also doesn’t show the Jetpack buttons in that mode. When I’m logged in as Admin, regardless of Browser, the issue goes away. But when I log out, the problem returns.
The Health Check also said everything was good. Site health is good. No conflicts. The problem only occurs if you’re logged out of the site. Since I have “Anyone can register” in General Settings turned off (always have), people can comment freely without needing to create an account.
