Anyway as an alternative and while it is more expensive (though once you take into account support it will be much cheaper) is Your Members a WordPress Plugin which we developed, like wp-members it does flexibile subscriptions and content management and access control. Unlike wp-members it provides rss by token, post delay, flexibile member management, custom registration and profiling the list goes so luckily we created a features page

wp-member and Your Members are not really in the same league when it comes to current features which is why the price difference, in terms of cars both have engines but Your Members has the wheels as well ??

ok so bad analogy and we are biased because we wrote it but to sum up we think it’s probably the best wordpress plugin today

Also its worth mentioning to be fair fastmembership is wordpress based and that the wp-commerce has a members option which if Your Members is to dear then that might be a better alternative.

While I’m sure everyone has heard of Paybox, they eventually failed not because the product didn’t work (Though it didn’t) but because they deceived users and failed to provide support.

Anyway as an alternative to wp-members you could try Your Members – Probably the best WordPress membership Plugin out there and while more expensive then wp-members it has many more features, and you can see how active the development is because support is free via the forums ??

Hi ffx, I’m really sorry you didn’t get a reply, I have double checked through the mail box and there is absolutely nothing based around your username in there, we have been handing out discounts to old Paybox customers so if you were missed I’m really sorry if you email me again on the above email I will look out for it.

Regarding making the plugin free that is just not going to happen, there is hundreds of man hours gone into the project as a business (and we are a business serving businesses) its not viable to survive simply on custom support requests, or twisting the GPL to suit our needs. We would much rather contribute to the WordPress core via bug fixes patches and also release free code that helps the community and gives back while still producing commercial software to our target niche.

Finally evilbox code fixes are not going to work with Your Member while we won’t hide the fact Paybox was the inspiration point, Your Member was written to actually work.

Guys Sorry I didn’t spot this thread I replied on another one recently.

The owners of paybox have as you probably know vanished leaving numerous people up a creek without a paddle. I believe their is talk of legal action.

Anyone who bought paybox should not be contacting their CC company, but rather login into paypal, find in their history their Paypal transaction click details and deactivate their subscription!
