In reply to: [EZP Coming Soon Page] Fix for login problemsBob,
Thanks for your work and for your kindness in sharing it. It’s not always easy for someone to invest a lot of sweat and then share it for the public good. I know you’ve mentioned fixes to help people with login issues. In my own case, here’s exactly what I experienced. Perhaps it may help others.
1. I didn’t have “Theme My Login” installed. But I was using a custom profile plugin I bought called UPME which enables me to redirect mysite.com/wp-login.php to redirect to mysite.com/login
AND
redirected mysite.com/wp-admin to https://mysite.com/login/?redirect_to=https://mysite.com/wp-admin/2. I was unable to login after installing the easy pie.
3. I renamed the plugin folder to have an underscore prefix, then refreshed the wp-content folder as well as the public_html folder but I was still unable to login using mysite.com/login and mysite.com/wp-login even after clearing browsing history and browser cache. The coming soon page continued to show with plugin folder renamed..
4. I deleted the plugin folder entirely, but was still unable to login after clearing browsing history and browser cache. The coming soon page continued to show, even with plugin folder deleted.
6. I now figured that the cached WordPress state was still serving up the page. If only I could log in and clean the wordpress cache.
5. Luckily, I was eventually able to login by typing mysite.com/wp-admin which redirected to https://mysite.com/login/?redirect_to=https://mysite.com/wp-admin/6. Once logged in, I used WP-SuperCache to clear existing WordPress cache. Only after did the coming soon page go and everything return back to normal.
I have taken the steps to share my experience testing this so it can help others and also give you and insight into how to advice people as well as continue to improve the plugin. Thanks again for sharing.

In reply to: [ZBlackbeard] use it with zerif proMy question is somewhat similar to yours but a little different as well. My situation is this: I want to use ZBlackBeard. I read that this is a child theme of Zerif Lite. Because I want to avoid editing ZBlackBeard files themselves, I am wondering if one must install Zerif Lite or Pro in order to use ZBlackBeard as the child theme. If we don’t have to install Zerif Lite or Pro, how can we customize ZBlackBeard without risking damage of ZBlackHeard.
Kindly help clear my confusion. Thank you for your help.
Here’s what saved me. Search for the plugin named “Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log”.
Good luck.

In reply to: [Register Plus Redux] Email verification not sentWell, you don’t have to now, if you really love the plugin. Here’s what saved me: Search for the plugin named “Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log”.
Easy to configure and all your emails will be sent pronto. Good luck.
Jason, I am happy to report success. Here’s what I just did: I put in the two hyphens at the end of the Client-ID just like it was displayed to me when I set it up and grant-permission-to-yahoo worked. But what baffles me is that it had failed with and without the hyphen yesterday. I have sent myself a test email which arrived.
on a personal level, let me thank you very much for your time and selfless help. I really truly appreciate that. Will try and connect with you via your website codingmonkey.
Thanks so much for your speedy response. Actually, I used the Mail API option.

Did you solve the problem? Having same. Thanks a lot. That did it. Problem solved.
I see that the appropriate .htaccess and php.ini files were updated as the plugin intended because I checked using the cpanel file manager.
