In reply to: 4.8 Text Widget strips onmouseover, onmouseout events from img tagsHurting me, too. I’ve got an SVG in a text widget that gets whacked in Visual mode, and I have some unsophisticated editors. “Don’t look behind the [visual] curtain!” instruction is not reliable. Would like to see a better solution. (Greatly appreciate the efforts to improve, though.)
Brook, no go on the code example. Nothing in the array in the tribe_get_events function call. I did change the dates to dates that I had events scheduled.
This might have been marked as resolved because of my poorly worded “It’s my server.” What I meant to say is that I control my server – it’s on our intranet.
This is definitely not resolved. Newsletter went out Friday with the problem – every link on the page went to the same link.
Big problem.
Heck,
I’ve tried that, over the past few weeks. Best (only) answer I got (beyond updating my versions of MailPoet and WordPress) was that there may be an issue on my server, and to contact my ISP.
It’s my server. Strikes me as an unlikely location for the error.
I have a number of other newsletters that never have this problem.
Thought someone reading this forum might have something helpful to say.
Thanks! I tried the code modified to get only today, only today and tomorrow, and then left it ‘as-is’ in the example (set for 30 days ahead), and it was getting all the events upcoming.
In other words, setting the ‘end_date’ option did not seem to affect the query.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Conflict with Advanced Category ExcluderWhen I activate Event Calendar, Advanced Category Excluder stops working: the home page categories that I had excluded show up. As soon as I deactivate Event Calendar, the categories are excluded again.

In reply to: 3.6 – Super Admin can't edit usersIpstenu, you triggered what should have been one of my first debug thoughts – plugin conflicts. Thanks.
I deactivated all plugins and was able to make user changes that I was not permitted to do when they were activated.
I then re-activated them one by one to suss out any that were offending.
Weirdly, they are all now activated and I am able to edit profiles. I logged out and logged in again, and I am still OK on the editing profiles.
So I don’t know what fixed it, but it is fixed.

In reply to: 3.6 – Super Admin can't edit usersI don’t have the role “manage_network_users” anywhere in my wp_[myDBprefix]_user_roles option.
Here is the “option_value” for that record:

In reply to: 3.6 – Super Admin can't edit usersIpstenu,
Looked at all the good advice in that post and my database correctly reflects the data you point out.
Not a single user can do as much as change his/her password. Looks like a much wider problem – no one can edit user data. Same error message: “You do not have permission to edit this user.”
Super Admins can’t do it, either. They can only delete accounts (and possibly create them – I haven’t tested that).
In addition, only the original super admin shows all the sites listed. The other super admins only see the primary site.
