Should these files post into the wp_content folder btw?

I worked with my host to do that and it still didn’t work as an error message came up saying the file was the incorrect type (xml vs wrx).

I agree that the xml file should work as that is what wordpress.com exported to me.

Since my new blog location is in the root directory, where should the imported blog info be located? I have uploaded the extracted file to the host and while it I can see it there it is not populating the blog at all.

The host claimed that is because their software doesn’t intuitively know where to map all of the posts, comments, links etc.

Still stumped on this one.
