Ok, now I have done the resetting plugins folder step also. Still no positive result.

Any other ideas?

I have tried those suggestions already. Deactivated all the plugins and switched the theme. I am still unable to see the toolbar. When I go to the page the content of the page also does not appear, When I highlight the page using my mouse cursor, it suddenly becomes visible. But the toolbar is still missing. I am not sure about resetting the plugins folder though. How can I access FTP/ PhpMyAdmin to make the change please?
