To bypass the issue, I added a block on the product page template to let visitors know we only offer pickup.

Then when they get to checkout, they’ll see another block that I added to the checkout template reiterating this fact.

I had to make all products “virtual” so the system wouldn’t try to pull shipping. On this next screenshot, you’ll see how I have already set up a pickup location and enabled it. It even shows up at checkout, but ONLY beside the shipping option, not alone. It is not selectable as a sole option, as you can see in the next screenshot, although other screenshots I’ve seen on WooCommerce support instructions show it as a selectable option.

I posted the question using mobile and kept getting an error message saying it didn’t go through, and when I realized I’d posted twice, I saw there’s no way to delete a thread.

I found a different way to bypass shipping, it should work until I can figure out how to get the pickup method to show by itself.

@ckadenge I’ve tried those exact steps, it doesn’t show up like that for me. Even though I have a location added, it’s not selectable when I try to use is as a shipping/pickup method. It keeps telling me to set up a local pickup method, and I know it’s set up correctly because I see it at checkout. It just won’t let me use it without shipping.

Nevermind, I figured it out ??

One more question, the solution @afzalpansuvi came up with disabled image hover zoom, but it still shows that magnifying glass on top of the picture. How do I disable image click as well?

@t-p it came with WordPress, Caretaker theme, standard version.

@shameemreza that worked, the shipping option is completely gone, didn’t even need the additional code. Now I just have to ensure that people who visit our site who are not local know that we do not ship, since that removed the pickup option too. I’m thinking I can add a text-block statement on the checkout page with pickup instructions.

@shameemreza I tried that too, but some of my products have variants and the virtual option is not available for products with variants.

@afzalpansuvi while it does hide the section, it still shows the option to ship. That could cause confusion if customers are led to believe shipping may be available when seeing that option.

Your solution worked; I just made a couple adjustments to it and was able to change the font and disable image zoom. The shipping block did disappear from the cart, but the option still shows up on the checkout page. I’m guessing there’s a more complex fix to altering the checkout flow.
