(Version 2.0.0 was the one with the timeout issue).

Hey Michael,

It seems the last 2-3 times the plugin has been updated, we’ve run into the same issue. What is this function called that sets the default timeout? I’d like to be able to directly reference this next update in case it happens again.

Hi Michael – I talked to our Host Dev’s. Here is what they said:

In order to test the issue, we have put together a simple page to test the connection to the Formstack API. The page is available from the following URL:

From our tests, we did not encounter any connection issues when connecting to [www.formstack.com:443]. If the formstack plugin is using a different URL to connect. If the issue is a result of a successful connection, but is timing out due to long transaction period, then the cURL within the plugin itself, due to the fact that PHP’s cURL timeout is set with the use of curl_setopts CURLOPT_TIMEOUT setting.

If you are able to set up a more basic form of testing the connection issue, this would also help in troubleshooting the issue. Alternatively, if the Formstack plugin has a log we can read from when testing the connection, this would also benefit us.

Any update on this new plugin details?

The second one regarding the production site was a false flag. Just needed to clear my cache.

Our production site: thefirstacademy.org is running the last version of the plugin (still on APIv1). Sometime after I submitted this ticket, all 30-50 forms on our site stopped appearing.

However, I can still add a form to a page via the backend, that portion of the plugin works, the form just never actually appears on the page.

Here is an example of an active registration that disappeared from the page:

My guess is like last time, it is timing out.

By 11:11 am the form had appeared in the list. The form was completed at 10:34 am and appeared sometime between 10:55 and 11:11 am or roughly appeared within 37 minutes. Is it on the hour? Every 30 minutes? Any details?

I should have known, our account was timing out. I seem to recall this happened with an update in the past. Good work.

Would like to see it in text + visual view (I always swap to visual to embed, then copy it to text).

Yep, its in place. I even made and added a new one to see if the update simply needed a new key. It didn’t help.

Hi Michael,
About an hour after I posted my review (4 days ago), the forms began to reappear; however, I can no longer add new forms via the plugin integration.

The site in reference is thefirstacademyDOTorg.

Still when I go to add another form via the TinyMCE editor that pops up the formstack list of forms in a lightbox, this lightbox no longer appeared. If I look at the console log, there is an error in reference on the plugin.js that shows that the API key is undefined. When I go to the Support > Formstack, the API Key is listed. I also tried creating another API key and adding that.

That did not do the trick. Also, from the API page on formstack, it shows requests being made. If it helps, existing forms remain in place.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did submit a ticket (case) also used the contact form, and contacted facebook and Tim Brown (customer success manager). I need this working, so I attack from all directions.

Please be advised, the forms were working this morning.
