Thanks Kmessinger – I had been through that codex page. However, other sources such as the buddypress for dummies book (and other) mention bringing in the _inc folder to the Child theme.

Additionally, I have read notes that say that if you want to edit any files that are in the “Parent” theme folder – that they need to be copied into the “Child” – and if they are in folders, the folders themselves need to be duplicated and placed in there. At the same time – they never really tell you whether they can be edited from the admin.

    Puzzling. ??

    THanks for your help!

I have the Child Theme selected and see the file list – but any files inside of a folder are not there. I can choose the “parent” theme and edit from the admin – but I do not want to do that as everything I have read says “Do not edit the parent files directly – move them into the child theme folder”.

The same issue lies with the _inc folder that house the original CSS.

    Does that make sense?

Basically, I want to access Child theme files that are INSIDE of folders from within the admin editor.

    Thanks for the help!
