correct ?? It’s amazing how much you can hack that theme to create your own…

thanks about the trailing slash…

but I was using 1.5-gamma 2005-02-03 not 1.2.2? As I said above (“it was 1.5 Nightly from 01-13 to the latest 02-03”)

Tried ending in / slash or %post_id% but still no joy – comments always 404. I wonder if it’s an issue with that nightly?

Installs and activates using 2.61, but on 1.5-gamma 2005-02-03 I get this when I click Configuration:

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘ABSPATHwp-includes/streams.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/share/pear’) in
(My path)/wp-includes/wp-l10n.php on line 2

So is it working Ok?

cheers!

taking out Permalinks hierarchy /archives/%category%/%postname% temporarily fixed it…

Weirdly my pages didn’t break, they both seem to work on slugs and the id numbers. odd, but cool.

Any idea what caused it? It seemed like it couldn’t find the actual post at the end of the permalink…it seemed to kick in when I added a category…

typing at 4:45 in the morning means you get a lot of typos ??

no it was 1.5 Nightly from 01-13 to the latest 02-03, so there shouldn’t have been any major shocks…unless there have been comment changes in the themes themselves (which I haven’t of course replicated in my theme based on Kubrick from the 13th)?

Downgrading was re-installing the backup of what was previous (being a good bunny I backed up first)

Actually just tried switching to latest Kubrick and still have the same problem…htaccess looks correct…

ah good…

the options are correct (for a blog in different directories?)

I have the opposite problem – yes the pages are outside the URI and I want say

/radioclash/faq/

and not

/faq/

as I’m getting at the moment. It’s very odd.

Have a look:

Cool sites….can you do something like this in WP? (ie. Gallery with popup windows?)

If so what’s the best plugin to use?

Just put this:

<language>en-GB</language>

or

<language>en-US</language>

(or whatever your language/location code – search in Google)

on a new line under:

<description><?php bloginfo_rss("description") ?></description>

in wp-rss2.php.

Works fine, just did it and my podcasts are now visible at audio.weblogs.com.

I’m sure there’s a nicer way if WordPress has a language setting inbuilt, but for now…

yes it works in my Nokia 3310 on 1.5 Alpha (13th Jan) – but doesn’t seem to work with blogs in different directories…and I assume you do have to goto wp-mobile.php rather than goto your homepage and it does it automatically?

But it’s great! ??

Two suggestions for improvements tho – put the Last 10 posts at the top then you can quickly jump to the post you want before loading all the other stuff such as comments and avoid extra GPRS charges? Especially if the first post is a long one…

And can comments expanding be optional? Maybe a toggle at the top nav? Or a link under the post?

Otherwise works great!

Oh and the gunslinger making you feel to watch your back?

Job’s a good’un! ?? That’s intentional…

thanks!

Which background colour? I’ve specified a colour in body in CSS…background-color: #ffffff; – are you talking about the html background colour property?

On a related note – in the Kubrik sidebar Found something that people like me running a blog in a different directory will want to change. If you click on archives or categories, currently Kubrik will display the siteURI rather than the home (the second box in the option property) thus switching people BACK to blah.com/wheremyblogactuallyis/ rather than blah.com/hamsterblog/.

So:

Find the bits with:

You are currently browsing the <a href="<?php echo get_settings("siteurl"); ?>"><?php echo bloginfo("name"); ?></a> weblog archives

in sidebar.php in your Kubrik theme directory and change the get_settings(‘siteurl’) to get_settings(‘home’) …replace them all for monthly, yearly, categories etc. and voila!

It’ll show the URI for the second box rather than the first.

I’ll let you know how I get on with the others…

Classic original template doesn’t do this – so is this a ‘feature’ of Kubrick?

Oh and anyone know how to get long lines to wrap properly in Firefox DIVs? grrr….

does this plugin work in 1.5 nightly (currently using the one from the 13th Jan)

Installed it and the blah doesn’t work…:-( Just shows it on the page…

But list and bold are working…Any idea (or do URLs not work when they are put in a list?)
