In reply to: First time user having install issuesHi Steven,
WordPress used to be only for blogs, but now it’s possibilities are limitless. We can help you with specific issues- but since WordPress is so fluid we can’t tell you how to build your website. You may want to start by choosing a template that meets the needs of your website.

In reply to: Error message trying to log inHi Simon,
Typically we see these errors when there’s extra code and/or whitespace in the actual code. However, I see that it’s an issue with the theme “2010-weaver”. You may want to contact the theme’s developer.

In reply to: Uploading WordPress blog to my HOSTWAY serverLog into your server with FileZilla. Go to your “root” folder. Make sure you have a folder called “wordpress”. Find the wordpress files in the left pane of FileZilla, and right click on the folder. Click “upload” but make sure you are in the “wordpress” folder in the right side pane of FileZilla. I hope this helps!

In reply to: When will my site be active? There’s nothing wrong with your local computer, but you need to clear your browser’s cache. It’s likely due to your web browser storing a copy of your site previously. By clearing your web browsers cache your site should appear like it does for the rest of us.

In reply to: Could Somebody Define the Root Folder? You need to install WordPress in the root folder for the domain. You’ll have a root folder for your account on the server and then a root folder for your specific domain. Make sure you install it in the root folder for the domain NOT your account.
