In reply to: How to unpublish or 'hide' posts when author's user role changes?Thank you for your suggestion! The more I think about it, the less pracical 2) appears to be…?Thinking of an author with hundreds of posts it would probably be close to impossible to re-publish everything once the author has updated his/her membership. So 1) would definitely be the preferred approach
Only now I see that the numbered bullet list does’nt show numbers –?so I’ll post the two approaches again…
1) All posts are still published, but only the user and admins can see it.
2) All posts are unpublished when the user role changes.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Sidebar font size won't change. With this little information it’s impossible to say what could cause the font sidebar’s size to be unreadable small. You could try to check what css makes your font size small for example with firebux or some other browser plugin… (Or add a link to the actual site)

In reply to: [WP-Forge] copyright dynamic yearHi there,
I would recommend to use a very basic child theme and then add the php snippet to the child’s footer.php
To get started with child themes:

In reply to: Trackback and pingback does not work!i seem to have a similar problem – whenever i try to send a trackback, the top level domain is not included – so all I’m sending out is like “https://?p=4” or “https://2006/11/30/article-name” which of course does not work. I also tried to send from one of my own wp-installation s to another.. the same as sending to other blogs.
Did I miss anything very very basic one should do to make sending trackbacks work..?
thanks, greetings, till..
ps: I do have access to my log-files – but what should one look for..?

In reply to: strange layout bug(?) when using google’s adsensehmm. thanks for your reply.. so I assume this problem seems to appear only on Mac OS X with Firefox (‘tested’ on 10.2.8 and 10.3.1 both running Firefox 1.0).
To make the problem a bit less foggy I took a screenshot of that strange background jumping off..

..and maybe one more detail: the “unwanted extra layer” seems to disapear when scrolling it off the window.. but after another click into whatever form field the offset is back.. sometimes in one piece, sometimes scattered..
..hope that tells something to someone – who can then tell ’bout it..?
..thanks! +greetz, till..
