I’m just adding my voice here to also hope that the lite version of the theme is updated soon! It would be great to get the menu working properly in mobile sites (without rolling back the jQuery version).

No I didn’t find a solution unfortunately. I ended up having to delete this plugin and use a different one which did not throw up any conflict errors.
