In reply to: Admin pages blank with no sourceDon’t try this at home!
I used my FTP program to rename the current theme. That I assumed would force WP to revert to the standard theme. It did. Then I logged in to the admin pages and there they were.
I then changed to the theme I had been using. The admin pages were still OK. Public-facing blog pages were OK.
I’m using a third party theme I found. Could the theme be messing with my admin pages?

In reply to: Single Posts Showing 404 After Upgrading from 2.7 to 2.7.1Look for punctuation in the titles of your posts.
Some of my post titles kept apostrophes and single quotes as part of the URL, and, while the posts showed up on the main page, the links were bad until I removed the punctuation.

In reply to: No links to posts workAre there any strange characters in the titles of your posts?
With 2.7.1 headlines with apostrophes sometimes put the punctuation in the links and the browser can’t get to the page, although the post show up fine on the main page of the blog.
That’s my experience.

In reply to: Admin Panel not working anymore !>>try uploading the contents of the /wp-admin folder again
I’ve tried that a half dozen times.
I finally created a new folder, reinstalled WP, and added my theme and content.
It still doesn’t work. Admin pages are blank on the Mac, but they show up on my PC laptop.
Help!

In reply to: Can’t login to a brand new installationI have a similar problem. I just updated to 2.7.1.
My blog is showing up just fine online, but all my admin pages are blank when I try to access the admin section using Safari or FireFox on my Mac.
So, I did a completely new installation this morning.
Same problem on the Mac, but, when I use IE on a PC laptop, the admin pages are all fine and editable.
Unfortunately, all my writing and graphics are on the Mac, which is where I prefer working.
Is it possible to go back to an earlier version of WordPress that was installed when everything worked a few days ago?

In reply to: Suddenly not able to preview postsOne thing I forgot to add: The name of the theme uses both upper and lower case letters — it’s capitalized. No spaces or other punctuation.
