  • Whole site and blog was moved by my webmaster to a new server months ago. All appeared to be fine. I was able to blog without trouble.

    Today, for the first time, I was attempting to upload a small image, in PDF format. I browsed to the file. Then I hit “Upload”. Didn’t work. Got the following:

    Unable to create directory /mnt/target03/356316/357031/www.tianodesign.com/web/content/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    What’s going on? How to fix?

    Okay, so where are really simple, non-techie, step-by-step instrux for upgrading WordPress and ending this nightmare where all the entries reversed to FIFO?

    Thanks very much. I figured out the way to link late, late last night. The link icon was dim compared to the other icons near it, and I just overlooked it. And after reading your answer, I went back into editing and was able to get it done.

    I apologize for needing a rescue. i really should have worked a bit harder on my homework before posting a plea for help.
