I put the code into the body section in the Divi themes option, I also tried adding it as shortcode directly onto the home page.

It does not seem to trigger the desired response.

I see that your code is for the “elementorProFrontend” should I just replace this with divi?

I agree completely, I am in the process of the new website design both front and back end. I found the root of the problem. The whole site was built on a very outdated Plugin, called Option Tree. Problem is when I deactivate it the whole thing falls apart. So now I have to find a temporary replacement. Boy am I struggling. I just want a quick fix as I cant leave the website down while designing the new site.
