I can confirm, I experience the same issue (S3 Secret key is entered, however the auth is not working and therefore backups fail with “ERROR: S3 Bucket “…” does not exist!”).
The strange thing however is that it only occurs on some websites that I control, not all of them (all of them are WordPress 5.5.1 and BackWPUp 3.8.0).Hi!
A had the exact same issue on Friday, last week. For me, the solution after all was to revert back to Photonic v2.23 (from a backup before the update), and not update until the issue is fixed with v2.24 (probably in v2.25).

Yes, I found it, and that gallery is working fine with v2.24 now. However, some others are still problematic (still using the include type filter, but only with 8-10 albums included in them) and I get an error message stating that a certain limit-per-minute quota is exceeded. So the solution is still not perfect, I still have to go back to v2.23 to be fully functional again.
The option to disable this behaviour, that causes the problem would be great, until then I cannot upgrade the plugin from v2.23.

When I wrote my answer about the number of albums and saw how long the shortcode is, I had the exact same thought, why am I using it like this? ??
I was not sure if there is an exclusion filter option but now that I am sure about it, I will try it soon with v2.24!Thanks for the help! ??
The affected page contains most of the albums out of the 223 that is currently uploaded to Google Photos, as this is the main gallery page, so only a few albums are excluded. I am using Gutenberg’s Block Wizard to select the specific albums that I want to display. This results in a long shortcode full of album ID’s, starting with: “type: google, view: albums, filter:….”.
UPDATE: I reverted back to Photonic v2.23 and everything works fine, just as before the update. So the problem that I was experiencing is directly related to the v2.24 update in my case.
Thanks, I just updated the plugin and noticed the option. Thanks!
Hi!
Unfortunately, it is still not working, however I put everything to the place you were saying it. But I have to say that I haven’t had much free time in the previous couple of days to try more, so there is a chance that I missed something, somewhere.
Until I get more free time to get it working, is it possible to include the same option for google photos as well – similar to flickr – to hide this “number of photos” string completily in the albums view? (On the flick settings page there is a checkbox for it). Thanks!
OK, thanks for the reply.
I tried to just quickly translate only the string(s) necessary for me, but I couldn’t get it to work.
Where exactly should I save the translation files (inside the same folder: wp-content/plugins/photonic/languages)? What should I name the file(s): hu_HU.mo and hu_HU.po (according to the tutorial, you linked) or photonic-hu_HU.mo and photonic-hu_HU.po (according to your message)? I tried both names, and the translation did not work, maybe the location was not right?
When I was trying, I was doing it this way: I created a copy of photonic.po file, renamed it and then edited it with the program you mentioned. After saving it, it created a new file with the same name, but with the “.mo” extension. I uploaded it to the same folder, where the original photonic.po is located. Then I tried to edit the wp-config.php (based on the tutorial for the other product, you linked) to define WPLANG, but I did not notice any difference, the text I translated (or I thought I translated) still appeared in English, not in the translated Hungarian form. What am I doing wrong?
Yes, although I am slowly moving away from Flickr, but the majority of galleries are still using Flickr (until I can move all my albums to their new location), so thanks for the fix. ??
Thanks for the quick response and fix.
This is why I love to use this plugin. Whenever I have had any issue/question, I always got an answer within the same day, with a fix/suggestion to make the problem go away. Thanks again and keep up the good work! ??- This reply was modified 6 years, 3 months ago by thugyecz.
Thanks for the heads up, I was just about to start trying the other way around (using the other one for Photonic galleries), but this way it is much easier. ??
Now everything works as it sould be, thanks for your help once again!
Yeah, that was the issue, thanks.
I also had the “Easy FancyBox” plugin installed and enabled. Right after I disabled it, the problem disappeared. Now, I have to figure out a solution to have them both enabled without these problems (because I need the other plugin for other purposes, as well ?? ).Anyway, thanks for the quick help! ??
