I can’t do this since it messes up my layout and causes even more confusion for my customers. The problem is that they simply expect te catalogue to be working like any other (where you can just select any category/subcategory at a time).

Yes that is working, i tried that out a while ago.
Thats why i came to the conclusion that the / is missing, the products themselve work ??

Yes please consider fixing this issue as it causes confusion when using “radio-button” mode (customers say something is not working as they don’t know the exact technical reason for this).

Yes when i then click on a category 4 times or another then it might work.
Just click around the product catalogue then you will find the error at some stage.

Just a hint the number of products (what i tested) changes fine when manually adding/removing products from a catalogue.

I think the error comes when you use the “Catalogue ID” column in a spreadsheet to automatically assign the uploaded products to a catalogue.
Something must be wrong there (there is another issue when using thes colum, the products don’t appear in the correct order afterwards. I let the support know already).

I still have this workaround and in 4.1.11 it looks like the current category has the right color, but also the last visited (but not all visited).
This changes when i naveigate thorugh the different categories but still needs to be fixed :(.

Hmm but then looking into the catalogue backend view, they should appear in the order that was in the spreadsheet, right?

I agree with having an option in the backend would be really nice.

I try to answer from my experience so far:

Question 1:
-The catalogue sorts in alphabetical order according to the category if you import the categories into the catalogue.

-If you want to order by product name, you have to import the products in that particular order and add them to the catalogue. To do this, use an .xlsx-sheet with a column named “Catalogue ID” and add you catalogue ID, see here:

I already posted a feature request some time ago about implementing a switchable-option in the admin that you can define if just adding the categories to the catalogue if it should be sorted according to category name (default) or product name.

Question 2:
This is not possible with categories, you have to use tags for this.

And what do you want to achieve if clicking on them? Then the product catalogue overview should open with products just from this custom field?
Like “see more products of this kind”?
