In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] : Error reportingSteve, thanks for the catch. The fact that I was setting that globally totally slipped my mind.
I’ll remove the else part of that statement. ??
Thanks.
You should be able to simply check the “Allow Facebook comments only” to hide the WordPress comment box.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Conflict with Facebook Fan Box!Alex, try with v1.5 which was just released and see if that fixes it. Make sure you check the box to include the FBML reference (although it should be checked off by default).

In reply to: Comments No Longer Emailed To MeIt’s definitely Gmail considering your comments as spam.
Go to your Spam folder, select the email from your blog, and click the “Not Spam” button. This should remind Gmail that these messages should no longer be considered spam.

Sorry for the annoyance.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meAwolverine, I don’t see anything on that page right now.
Also, do you have Facebook Like button plugins installed. They currently cause conflicts that I’m working on resolving.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meHi all,
Version 1.3 of the plugin has just been released. Includes a few bugfixes, anonymous posting support, and a redesigned settings page.
Let me know of any issues or suggestions. IE support is coming in the next version.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meHi saneuie,
I’ve noticed the Like button shows up on some installations and not on others. There’s obviously a reason behind this–I just need to dive a little deeper and figure out why.
Once I figure out the scenarios where it appears, I’ll try and find a way to disable it and make that an option.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meHmmm, that’s odd. I’ve seen it work on numerous other sites, but the code on your page is identical.
I’ll go through the API one more time and see if there are any settings for that to be included in the next version.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meOh, look at this: https://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Comments.add
I guess I completely missed that page before. So it is possible after all!
Perhaps I’ll work that into a future version.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meHey Andy,
The issue with comments taking time to load is definitely on Facebook’s side. This is the first release of their Social Graph widgets, so they’re bound to have problems here and there.
There is no way to merge the comments, unfortunately. I looked through the API and could find no way to add comments under someone’s name. This makes sense, because they don’t want you to be able to make it look like certain people are saying things they may not be.

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Doesn’t work for meI put a new version up that fixes the bug where settings get erased. I tested it and all seems well.
Another version should arrive within the next week with some new features that have been requested.
