In a nutshell updating to the latest version breaks the child theme. Kindly let me know if anybody has a clue. I would love to update to the latest version. The child theme works in perfect harmony with the previous version.

The Featured Image in the Hero Area on single posts works when I switch to the parent theme. Not when I switch to the child theme. Appreciate any advice on fixing this.
Unfortunately, it’s not working for me. Appreciate any assistance you can grant with regards to this.
Update:
I modified style-editor.css as follows and accidentally uploaded it to the folder containing the parent theme and everything worked. However, when I moved it to the folder containing the child theme the customizations disappeared from the Gutenberg Editor.
@import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Playfair+Display&display=swap'); .edit-post-visual-editor h2 { font-family: 'Playfair Display', serif !important; } .edit-post-visual-editor h3 { font-family: 'Playfair Display', serif !important; } .edit-post-visual-editor p { text-align:justify; } .edit-post-visual-editor pre { text-align:justify; }
Actually, my knowledge of PHP and CSS is next to none. I will appreciate it if you could guide me to the code I should include in my child functions.php file and the style-editor.css
Thank you, Anders. I was able to resolve the issue by making a few adjustments to the Child Functions File.
Hi Anders. Thank you for the update. It fixed the problem. However, something terrible happened in the frontend after updating the theme. The site broke, and I had to revert to the old version. Here’s the link to a screenshot. This problem occurs on the homepage only.
I tried with all the plugins disabled and deleting the old version and uploading the new version but the problem didn’t go away. Appreciate any assistance you provide with regards to this.
