Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I am getting loads of Woocommerce file changes on Wordfence over the last few days. From dozens of websites. The cart.php file among several others from Woocommerce.

The “differences” in files, seem to be a simple tag “esc_html” – but not sure what that is.

Yeah I want to add my name here… I have 36 sites in my account, and I am getting a very frustrating amount of emails every day warning me about external files.

I checked the option “Scan files outside your WordPress installation” and synced the template to all sites – but i continue to get these alerts…

Any idea what is going on here?

I will leave my experience here as it will no doubt help others in the future.

I contacted my server team and asked them if there were any blocks in place – turns out the wordfence IPs were blocked. Once they were whitelisted, all the sites connected automatically again over the course of an hour without me having to do anything.

I have also had this issue for months which is why i came here to start a thread, but will add to yours instead. I have done some testing so have some information that may be useful.

It seems to be linked to image resolution. Any image at 5000px wide or larger gives an HTTP error for me.

4500px or less works fine. (I haven’t tested anything between 4500-5000px)

File size doesn’t matter – its only the resolution.

Interestingly, when I disable this plugin – I can still get the error but it’s only for photos of 7000px wide or larger.

I know it was only a month ago you said its on your todo… but im curious if there is any info as to how long it might be?

I second this request. I just downloaded the plugin to use specifically on a custom post type.

I will try to get this working via the function – but yes, out of the box support seems like it would be a great step forward ??

Look what I just seen in the update notes of the latest Visual Composer patch:

18.05.2015 – ver 4.5.2

– Performance: Removed call to get taxonomies from vc_map and now it is called via ajax only when it is needed
– Fixed: slug changing when Yoast SEO plugin activated

Looks like thats the culprit – I haven’t tested this though.

Tunit25 – Interesting that you have figured out that it seems to be taking the last post name created. I didn’t clock that one, but it does seem to be a possibility thinking back.

After the latest yoast update, I quickly logged into my site and re-saved a page… which last week was, 100% of the time, renaming the permalink. But this time it didn’t do it.

I only tested once so cant be certain. But has your issue been fixed too?

They didnt mention it in the patch notes however.

This also happens to me, started recently so I think its a recent update with yoast that caused it.

Keeps choosing a random word from within my page and renaming the slug to it everytime I save. Only work around, is to change the slug back, and re-save again.
