In reply to: [Disqus Comment System] Disqus plugin should import disqus comment IDs tooComments are known as posts in the Disqus API. Posts (as WordPress calls them) are known as threads in the Disqus API.
So
dsq_post_id
is exactly what you’re looking for; that’s the comment ID in Disqus. There is no compatibility issue. Kindly try going through our WordPress Troubleshooting documentation at https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/472005 and follow up here with what you find.
Great! Thanks for following up dzrider.
Hi everybody, as previously requested we need to the debug info from the Disqus plugin in order to look into this issue further.
To clarify, this isn’t happening on all Disqus-enabled WordPress sites. This is not a Disqus-wide issue and likely is caused by something different on each site —?the most common culprit with issues like these is a theme or plugin conflict —?and thus the debug info is the best way for us to investigate. Go ahead and follow the instructions I mentioned in my previous message and we’d be happy to lend a hand. Thanks!
Thanks for clarifying. I’m assuming the feature to which you are referring is our Single Sign-On add-on. We’ve recently separated that add-on from our VIP service into its own package, so sites that with their own authentication systems (e.g., WordPress sites using WordPress authentication system or BuddyPress, Drupal sites, custom news platforms, etc.) with which they’d like to integrate Disqus can still use it without having to pay for the extra features of Disqus VIP.
That new SSO package is currently offered at $99/month or $999/year. More information on, and a link to subscribe to, it can be found at https://disqus.com/for-websites/control-and-seo
Hornets, I’m not sure I’m entirely aware of what you’re talking about. Would you mind starting a new thread so we can keep the conversations tidy? Happy to continue the chat then. Or feel free to shoot us a message at https://disqus.com/support directly. Thanks!
This is not possible nor allowed via our Terms of Service: https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/466260-terms-of-service
Fabricio, what Disqus username did you use to apply?
We have a fix in place for that in the next plugin update: https://github.com/disqus/disqus-wordpress/commit/960fb3c7f27899f292a4ef03b523124f1c373cc3
We’ll be updating the plugin soon which will alleviate this issue; no further action is necessary on your end. Thanks Jeremy!
Jeremy, please include specific links to what is 404ing and the last time Google reported it as 404ing.
Jeremy, can you provide more details? What specifically is 403ing?
OK Disqus 2012 access is activated for your personal account now. Visit https://disqus.com/2012-activate/ to activate Disqus D12 for your site(s). If you have any questions or feedback don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at https://disqus.com/support
Are you waiting for an invite? If so what’s your Disqus username? I’d be happy to activate Disqus 2012 for you.
Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I was able to reproduce that and have created an issues ticket for it here: https://github.com/disqus/disqus-wordpress/issues/25. We’ll look into a fix for the next release of the plugin.
It shouldn’t be unnecessary for your host to log in to your site. But thank you for letting us know that’s a possibility.
Next steps:
1. Temporarily disable all plugins (except Disqus)
2. Click “Manual Sync” again, under Advanced Options in the Disqus plugin.
3. Does the “Unable to connect to the Disqus API servers” error persist? Thanks for all your help so far yogesh_gamer.
