Wayne: thanks. I talked to my hosting provider, Ipage, and they increased the pho and upped the max on an email post to 64mb and that did the thrice.

    I just ran another test config and it worked. But at the bottom it says;
“Successful IMAP-SSL connection on port 993
    # of waiting messages: 4”

It seems my messages are in some kind of queue perhaps?

Hi: Still having problems with posting from email. I sent my own test email on Jan 17 and it posted, but afterwards it did not work and i stopped trying. Then I applied some updates this month and the test config worked and so I sent a test post to my posties site and it worked. Then I tried sending a long post with 7 pictures and it did not post. I have tried several more short test posts and those have not posted either. However when i hit “test config” it says I posted successfully. Any suggestions please?

It worked. Thank you so much for your help and support Wayne. Have a great evening.

Thanks for your help. I think I am close. It says it is working:
“Successful IMAP-SSL connection on port 993
    # of waiting messages: 0”

but I have sent several test emails and they are not getting posted. FYI hear is what it shows on the TEST CONFIG:

One last thing is I am using Safari as my browser. Should I use Chrome?

    Thread Starter thesenioradventurer

    (@thesenioradventurer)

Yes. I have IMAP enabled. The getting started instructions said use:Postie Protocol imap-ssl so I tried that as well. I will put it back to POP3 though as you said. Also I saw a warning that Postie needs cURL version to be updated? Can you tell me how to do that? You sent some other instructions that had using POP and different settings. Im a bit confused now?

I have a screenshot of wordpress postie page but don’t know how to put that in this box. If you need that please tell me how?

    thanks

Hi: This issue was not resolved. I did as you suggested and when I run TestConfig in WordPress I got the following message:
“The username and password provided were not accepted for this POP3 server imap.gmail.com on port 993”

FYI, I reentered password in WordPress to make sure it was in sync with google mail account. Also my emails to my gmail postie account are received there.

    Any new suggestions?
