In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] How To Add Content (images, etc.) Above Meeting ListSupport for this plugin is now on GitHub.com, under code4recovery12-step-meeting list – questions, bug, requests should be submitted there.
Having said that, though, there is a simple answer to your question: On the main left WP dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and you will see that there is are a couple of widget areas for the Meeting List where you can insert any blocks you need.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Question for List of MeetingsQuestions about the Twelve Step Meeting List plugin should be posted to https://github.com/code4recovery/12-step-meeting-list/discussions, which is the “official” support board.
If you’re new to GitHub, you’ll need an account to post but it’s easy to create one. Then use the link or just search for “twelve-step-meeting-list”.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Listing Meeting ReopeningsWe’re working through some slow reopening in Portland and how to show this in TSML, given that some meetings are switching from online to in person, some are going hybrid, and some are splitting into separate online and in person instances at the same time.
After much discussion, we’d like to suggest adding a new Type checkbox for “In person and online”. Selecting this Type would then override display of the “/Online Meeting” flag on the front end and show only a flag for “/In person & online”. The “in person & online” Type should require a URL, as “Online” does currently.
Does this make sense? We think the distinction behind hybrid meetings and split meetings is not significant enough to worry about.
Thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Mapbox message deprecating support for Classic StylesGot another note from Mapbox about the old styles being deprecated and how I’d better update or risk losing maps (or have to switch to Google). I contacted Mapbox tech support who replied right away, asked for some basic info, then delved into our site. What they found was that the TSML plugin is not the source of the problem – it works just fine with Mapbox. We had another map plugin, “Ultimate Maps” so we could embed a location map of the Intergroup office and it used Mapbox. That map wasn’t essential so I just deleted it from the page and deleted the Ultimate Maps plugin. Mapbox support checked and said everything is now fine, so more errors. I gotta say I was really impressed with their promptness and diligence.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Add “Meets Outside” TypeBrilliant – thanks @theviv! I was concerned about how to list just the reopened meetings; I’ve added keywords for “reopened”, “hybrid”, and “outdoor” to the meeting information text boxes where appropriate. Then I added buttons in Meetings page top widget with the search links for desired terms so users can run the searches. I love it – thanks!!!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Mapbox message deprecating support for Classic StylesNo, thanks for asking. Still showing Mapbox maps, much to my relief as I hadn’t made any changes. ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Mapbox message deprecating support for Classic StylesKind of a lot, but here’s the email from Mapbox; links in the body returned errors:
Hey pai-webservant,
Mapbox is deprecating support for Mapbox Studio Classic styles on June 1st, 2020 and you’ve made requests using those styles in the last 30 days. Below is a quick guide so you’re prepared for these changes.
As a reminder, you have not been able to modify these styles since March 31, 2020 and these styles stopped receiving map data updates in Q1 2018.
The first 1,000 developers who migrate from Classic Styles to modern styles in the next 2 weeks and respond to this email will receive free Mapbox stickers!1. What’s happening?
On June 1, requests to Studio Classic styles or projects from new apps and websites will return 4xx responses. Requests from existing websites and apps will continue working for a period of time as we work with you to move off the service, however we will lower our operational support for our legacy API endpoints that serve Classic styles. This means no feature requests or bug fixes except to address critical security vulnerabilities. This also means a lower SLA for these endpoints relative to our modern endpoints.
If you’ve already stopped using Studio classic styles in your web or mobile app, then please disregard the rest of this email.
2. What are the benefits of upgrading my Classic styles?
Some of the immediate benefits of upgrading include: daily map data updates validated by Mapbox (Classic styles stopped receiving map data updates in Q1 2018), the ability to customize and style your maps with Style Components in Studio, and significantly improved load times and global reliability. After June 1, Mapbox will not be prioritizing operational improvements to the endpoints that serve Classic styles.
3. Where can I see the Classic styles associated with my account?
If you’re using a custom Classic style created via Studio Classic or a classic project created in Mapbox Editor, you can see your Classic styles listed here: https://studio.mapbox.com/classic/.
If you’re receiving this email, but you don’t see any styles listed at the above link, follow this migration guide to locate the styles used in your application.
4. How do I upgrade from Classic styles to modern Studio styles?
If you have an interactive slippy map, read our guide on migrating to the modern Static Tiles API. If you’re using a Classic style as a fallback for browsers that don’t support WebGL, use this tutorial to upgrade.
Note: the Static Tiles API can return 512×512 map tiles, which cover 4x the area of the 256×256 tiles associated with Classic styles. Be sure you include the tileSize: 512 and zoomOffset: -1 options so you don’t incur 4x as many tile requests as necessary and so that your labels, icons, and other map features don’t appear smaller than expected.
If you’re using the Legacy Static Images API to embed static map images in your website or application, read our guide on migrating to the modern Static Images API.
If you need additional resources to help upgrade to modern Studio styles you can use our Developer Network and select the “Legacy Applications” skill in your search.
If you have any questions about the above, please reach out to our support team or your Technical Account Manager.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Hyrbid meetingsHere’s Garry’s reply – he works closely with our hotline volunteers and many of his concerns about how meetings are listed in TSML are related to how the volunteers need to use it:
“I like “Online Option” but what if I am looking for Online, Men, step study, closed?
We need to be able to filter for every “type”.
The individual user can muddle through but people all over the world that are on hotlines using the app or TSML on a website, need to filter, filter , filter to help the caller in the best way.
They really need to add that feature. It has been my complaint from the first day. None of the testers or developers have been a recent hotline volunteer obviously.”Thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Hyrbid meetings@tech2serve I passed off the question about feedback to Garry, our office manager, who is more experienced than I. We’re not looking to make more work for tech support, just want to make the best use of TSML features in a way that makes sense to users. Thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Hyrbid meetings@octotoot We’re Portland Area Intergroup in the Portland, Oregon area. Parts of the state are getting Phase 1 releases; for Portland it will be a few weeks yet, at least before we get the go-ahead.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Zoom button no longer activeHmmm, tried Firefox, still no luck; Zoom button in the browser just links to #. It works. great in Meeting Guide, so that’s really the main thing, and we get an active link using the “Website” field. Our office manager pointed this out to me, so it’s not just happening on my machine, must be unique to our WP installation.
In the absence of other users experiencing this, I don’t think I’d spend a lot of time on it. Some night when I’m up late I’ll try turning off plugins one by one and see what that does. Thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Zoom button no longer activeThe phone button links to the same path, just refreshes the current view. I’m using Mac OSX 10.15.4 Catalina and I’ve tried Safari and Vivaldi, which uses Chrome. No changes to browser extensions or security settings, currently using Ghostery lite in Safari but have been for a long time. The only Vivaldi extension is Bitmoji. ??
We did just go from WordFence lite to WordFence Pro plugin so I deactivated the plugin but that made no difference in either browser. Thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Zoom button no longer activeI checked the Zoom buttons in the online listings for several meetings and the link they point to is internal – here’s one example:
https://www.pdxaa.org/index.php/meetings/horizon-aa/?tsml-day=4&tsml-time=evening&tsml-type=ONL#
So the effect is just to refresh the page. The Zoom button in Meeting Guide works as intended; it’s just the website listing that’s a problem. I tried two different browsers and go the same thing.
