In reply to: Fatal Error. Site's down. Disaster. Please help.dapadoo, thanks so much. As it turned out, a few minutes ago someone suggested deleting the theme. I used Cpanel and did it and it came back, thank goodness.
I really appreciate your responding. I’ve been online since 1972 with a 300 baud modem, an acoustic coupler, and a home computer with 4K memory. And in all this time, I’ve never ceased to wonder at how incredibly helpful the online community always is.
Thanks again,

In reply to: Have I been hacked?Hi, Clayton:
Yes, fifty2ninetyonline.com is my site. And you were right, I did have user registration turned on. Following your instructions I unchecked “Anyone can register.”
I knew that I didn’t have a register link on any of the pages, but had no idea that one could simply put in the URL you showed. Wow, a lot to learn.
I really appreciate the help. Thanks so much.

In reply to: Creating a test siteThanks, mokah, I’ll give it a try.
Thanks, Daniel. I did see that and did add my tracking ID. Is that enough and does that mean that I don’t have to add any tracking code?

In reply to: Difficulties switching domainsThanks, bhpress. It’s all fixed now.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Difficulties switching domainsOne more detail. I mentioned that when I go to https://www.fifty2ninetyonline.com/wp-admin I get taken to thericepost. That’s what it says in the black strip above the dashboard. But there’s nothing in the dashboard except the profile link.
I then got an email, also, that said there was a new user registration. Turns out that my registration as user fifty2ninetyonline was seen as a registration for thrice post.
I’m thoroughly confused at this point.
Thanks,

In reply to: Blog token not foundThanks, esmi, your suggestions did the trick. I deactivated all plugins and the comment box was back. The odd thing, however, was that when I reactivated them one by one, the problem never appeared again. So the set up is now the way it originally was and without a problem. Not quite sure what happened or why, but all is well now.
Thanks,

In reply to: Big problem with bad linksbhpress and Starejosel, thanks for the answers. I’ve been playing around and I’m afraid that I’m just in too deep for what I know to do. I put up a post looking for someone to hire to help me but it was closed down because that type of post isn’t allowed on the forum so I’m looking on the Internet for a consultant.
Thanks again,

In reply to: Big problem with bad linksThanks. I’ve tried playing around with them as much as I can, but if it is the answer I haven’t been able to figure it out yet.
