In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Few suggestionsHi Frold,
I am back, unfortunately I didn’t receive an email from you….but I think we can discuss via IRC in the future. My Master thesis took some time longer than suggested and I started a new full-time job some weeks ago…. I committed my thesis yesterday…so today is my first “real” day off. I’ ll have a look what happened during the next week an be online@IRC during the evening.
I hope you had a nice Christmas and wish you a happy new year!

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationYou are now added as a contibutor/author ??
Cool, thanks!
When you are back on track there is a minor issue regarding the weather plugin
I’ll have a look at your issue later, put it on my long-term-to-do-list ??
Have fun with the gear manager and thanks for your motivation!
Cheers Eyeless
Hey there,
the zip code integration would be nice…but according to the linked side above it’s just for US Cities, see here.
But I will have a look at this in about two weeks. Maybe we could offer both options… thanks anyway! ??

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationSure, since I am quite interested in this project and told you so I will not vanish without a word ??
*Thumbs up*@medicine_article! Didn’t publish anything yet except my Bachelor Thesis.
Your server set up sounds nice, but for backing my images up, I am using a virtual server with a gallery software on it. Using this I am also able to show everyone in my family my pictures independent where they are.
You may have a look at rapidSVN, this is a separate program for managing svn repositories. Currently I am not aware of any working integration of svn in the gnome desktop….so I am using the command line ??

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationGood luck on the new job!
Like I assumed four weeks ago I am still busy at writing my master thesis.
A weather release would be cool, but I will help you any finishing the itemslist in about 2 weeks ??
And yes, I am running linux at my home machine, I used Mint Linux till some weeks ago but changed some weeks ago to Ubuntu Linux for my thesis. For testing the running log I used Lamp which is quite easy to setup in comparison to a complete mysql-php-apache setup. Since its easy setup it lacks some security issues, but for developement it’s great!

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationNo problem, I am also quite busy. I had a short look at the gears table, but I can’t spent as much time as needed currently, I hope this is getting better as soon as possible, but I can’t pledge it during the next six weeks (moving to another city and finishing master thesis ). Never the less I am NOT quiting here. Maybe it takes some time to finish it up, but anyway later ist better than never ??

Not yet, since I had a lot to do with writing applications and now going for some days to northern Germany to get a new flat… but it looks like I am going to get some more free time during the next week ??

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationHi,
ook , I am finally back and tried some time to get a workaround for this issue but then I recognized that it doesn’t happen at my server. If I edit an old post and change some things like distance etc. It does not set the weather condition to the current ones. May you give it another try or did I get your issue wrong?
Cheers Eyeless

In reply to: [Plugin: Runners Log] Weather integrationHey,
I checked the problem. It happens since everytime a metabox is opened (independent whether you create a new blogpost or edit an old one) current data is queried from Yahoo.
The solution would be a check whether a post is new or just an old one whne a meta box is opened. Should be quite easy to resolve and I think I can do it this weekend.
It unfortunately took some time for me to figure it out since there has been some trouble here which had to get solved in first place ??Cheers Eyeless
