Thank you for your help. I like the new one more too, except it’s even harder to fix it’s issues.

Questions: Where in sidebar.php am I adding the first and second and am I deleting anything else, like al the code for menu, categories etc?

And in functions do I delete what is there, replacing it completely or simply add this to what is there?

To TheOrganicSister: I tried doing your suggestion and all that shows is the URL of the page of new categories…not sure if I’m doing it right? I tried copying and pasting the link into the title box, but it’s just coming through as text (without a hyperlink) as the Link button doesn’t activate as it does when you link in the body of the page…..?

Are you hyperlinking it or just pasting the link? This is the easiest source I found for creating a hyperlink. If you are hyperlinking perhaps it won’t work with some themes. That I don’t know. I’m pretty inexperienced and just took the easiest route I could. ??

The text I have is just list form with some items striked. The badges are from various websites and blogrings. Maybe you could show me a sample of how to add it and I can try it from there?

I’m not sure I even understand the first part of what you wrote.

But in regards to the 2nd part, I want my categories, archives and blogroll on the right/inner. On the left I have text I want to add in a list form, as well as a cpl html badges, buttons etc. Will that be possible?

Yes that’s the right one but in that description it reads:

“The inner sidebar contains pages menu, categories, archives and blogroll while the outermost sidebar is widgets enabled and can contain whatever you define in your blog’s admin area (under Appearance / widgets). ”

I need to know how to change it so the inner sidebar contains what *I* want it to contain rather than what it wants to give me. When I go to widgets it does not give me the option to change the inner sidebar.

I did something similar by just adding a hyperlink to the title of the new page. (AS in, when you go to write the page and it has a place for the title, I added a hyperlink in that space.) The link works great.

It’s definitely not there. I downloaded again from wordpress and still no luck. I went to the theme authors page and found from there I could downlaod it from Google. That worked as far as being able to upload it but now I can only change widgets on the right sidebar and not the inner/left sidebar. I’ve looked at author’s web page and followed links to other pages; I seem to be the only one with this problem but I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Okay I deleted it and found an almost identical one from www.remarpro.com (called page-style). This one is doing the same thing. I would imagine because it’s from WordPress that there shouldn’t be hidden code; am I right? But are the widgets fixable?

PS I’m trying out another theme right now but would still like to know how to edit Green Apples in case I want to go back to it.

tlipowicz: I changed the page width to 80% but I can’t understand how to “add margin auto” like you said.

Um. Wow. Okay.

Can I fix it so I can use it while I look for another suitable theme? Or it is so unsafe that I should delete it right away?

ETA: Everything that was on my left sidebar in my old theme is exctly as is withthe new theme, only on the outer sidebar. The categories listed in the inner sidebar are not even alphabetized. Is this an upload issue or a plugin issie or a www.remarpro.com issue? Or a user issue? ??

Okay, I’m looking in my stylesheet for “content” but it only gives me the option of font size. Is there something else it would be nmed or somewhere else I need to look instead of stylesheet?
