Excuse the learning curve. I’m not sure what that means…do you have a link explaining?

Same issue here.

I can edit text widgets, but can’t any new widget of any kind. Also can’t rearrange the order. Haven’t tried deleting because I need the widgets currently showing and am afraid I won’t get them back.

WP 3.4.2 and Genesis Corporate theme.

Can anyone else chime in on this topic?

Is there a simple way to do this without losing the info to an update?

If not, could someone help me understand exactly where something like this would be placed?

If I update WP or my theme (Genesis) will I need to redo that option? I’m hoping for something simple to change but not in need of redoing.

Okay I tried to edit and couldn’t even look at the preview, so I returned it to draft status and created a new one with the same title and body. Previewed fine until I posted it and it wouldn’t load again or preview again.

I changed the permalink of it from:

And it opens fine now. Still can’t figure it out but it seems like it has to do with that specific URL/permalink.

I’d appreciate any insight to fix this or prevent it from happening again.

But they didn’t work. Not sure if I entered the wrong font – “Helvetica Neue”, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;

Any advice?

P.S. I didn’t put this in the plugins forum because it doesn’t seem to be a plugin issue. No other plugins work and posting directly to Facebook from these blogs won’t work either.

If you’re talking about what I think you’re talking about, you should be able to click and drag a dot or click in the center of the crop box and drag the entire box. If all else fails you can crop and resize via your computer or Picnik.com and then upload as is.

Oh and I’ve tried emailing the author of the plugin (SEOEgghead) and their customer service sucks. No reply in a week.

So I’m still looking for a solution to this….anyone?

If I could ever get actual support from Tech Trot that’d be great.

I have this resolved. For anyone who is wondering:

I didn’t see the API option on the Facebook Share Settings. By choosing Share API in the dropdown box it changed back to the old button and shows that count, as well.

Update: Not everyone I’ve had check it is seeing the same thing. Some see no difference. Others see different things on different posts.

It says this:

“Facebook Like and Twitter Share buttons are loaded by default. Other buttons, including Digg, Facebook Send, LinkedIn, Google “+1″, Google Buzz, Stumbleupon, Hyves, Email, Reddit (and the deprecated Facebook Share button), can be added through the Settings->Really simple share menu.”

It sounds like you have to choose +1 and if you don’t choose it, it won’t show.

Aaah, nevermind. It seems to be working now (had to refresh a few times).

Is there any way to make it “relative” so that I don’t have to manually change it and it automatically spaces it out evenly?

And my next Q would be how do I change the font and size of the text without encroaching on the columns below?

No luck. I changed it to 50 and it didn’t do a thing. Here’s the whole main menu, if this helps…
