I understand. My problem has less to do with content/menu and more with customizing simple things in the theme itself (width stretch, borders/paddings, dimensions, colors, etc).
For 2013, wordpress seems to be getting more and more unnecessarily cumbersome.
All it needed was real php files for each page, 1 php file for each module (header, footer, menu) and a css file. The way it is now, it’s like that but 100x more complicated. Very illogically organized, and when I search for a code line in the source, I can’t find it because half of them were generated dynamically…. It needs to be better documented and commented. I’m not a php pro, but I’m also not a dummy who has to do everything from the backend. WordPress needs to cater a little more to people like me – who write code, but expect an organized file tree that makes some sense.

In reply to: My feed url? 3.4.2Same problem here with 3.4.2. Particularly frustrating because all google searches preach the same “super-simple” solution, like it’s so obvious. Wasted half an hour trying to figure out the RSS URL, to finally learn this version is one of the “bad” ones…
So what now? Is there a workaround for the bug?

In reply to: changed blog url, can’t log in nowWhat if a 3rd party installed WordPress in my client’s server, and I have NO access to PHPMyAdmin?
How do I fix this problem? :/
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress Site not working after settings changeThis is not user negligence, I just had the same exact problem, and it’s because the settings page on the new wordpress doesn’t explain things clearly and makes it too easy to make accidental changes!
I never had this issue before, only with the new version now.
And my problem is, I have no access to PHPMyAdmin!
Wordpress was installed by a 3rd party to one of my clients and now I’m stuck with a non-working wordpress installation that I can’t login to, because it redirects to the URL that was inputted in the settings. Thanks WordPress! Thanks for f*cking up the user interface by fixing what wasn’t broken!
How the hell am I going to fix this now? The stupid 3rd party charged $65 to my client just for the wordpress installation on their servers.
