  • I renamed the plugins folder to .plugin, and I get no joy. This is the second WP site I’ve had this happen on, and it’s a real bummer. The first time this happened I had to DL WP 3.2.1, unzip it into a parallel folder, then manually copy over my wp-content, themes, plugins, etc. Now it looks like I’ve got to do it again. No joy.

Righto, the v2.9.5.4 changelog info is there now. Thanks!

You’re not stupid! You’re smart and samboll’s comment must refer to a different version of Mystique than either you or I have. I am using v1.72. At least for Mystique 1.72 there is no such:

Admin > Settings > Featured Content Gallery

and there are also no “duration options” at:

Admin > Appearance > Mystique settings > Posts

although there is a setting there for “Maxiumum number of featured posts”. If there is a timing duration setting, I can’t find it either. Maybe the theme designer removed the timing option (and I vaguely remember one in a prior version).

This theme is in active development, so stuff comes and goes with every version, and other stuff radically changes. None of this is documented very well, either, so for now you really have to be careful when upgrading this theme, especially if you have made modifications to either your UserCSS or to any of the php files. I’m sure the documentation will solidify when the theme development gets closer to completion.

The plugin still works in WP 2.8.4, and messages do get sent and received. Received messages show up in the table, but no sent messages show up under “Send Messages” (even though I see them in the database with phpMyAdmin). Maybe something broke with WP 2.8.

It was easy to fix the two spelling errors in the source code:
“Recieved Messages” and “Send Messages” fixed to be:
    “Received Messages” and “Sent Messages”

Any PHP programmer out there want to try to fix this if the original developer has abandoned the plugin?

    Best regards,
    -Brett
