In reply to: Multisite domain mapping: subsite redirects to main siteOk! Perhaps some succes! I noticed that I had changed the Site Address URL from https://secondary.com to https://www.secondary.com
Removing the www and I can now view the secondary site! This is now only over http, I will contact my host to fix the ssl cert and hope it will still work!
Thanks for the help

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.primary.com/$1 [R,L]<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>

In reply to: Multisite domain mapping: subsite redirects to main siteYes, https redirect code; I’ll remove and try again
I want https on the secondary, there is a certificate but it doesn’t appear to be working at the moment. That was my next step
Ive not deactivated any plugins, though what I have are all network/multisite supported (according to their documentation and support techs).
Current theme is default 2017, I’ve not modified the sites at allForum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Multisite domain mapping: subsite redirects to main siteThanks, for the tip! Have followed your advice, unfortunately the problem remains.
– I removed the addon domain and then reloaded the page and received an error from the hosting provider that the page doesn’t exist
– added the addon domain as before, and reloaded and was redirected to my main page
– tested on several devices, several networks and several browsers; no change
– tested on multiple networks and browsers with netrenderer and no change, still being redirected to the main page.Interestingly 1Passwords browser failed to load the page, complaining the certificate wasn’t valid, but no other browser did!

In reply to: Multisite domain mapping: subsite redirects to main siteAt this stage my thinking is:
1) I know that domain mapping is supported natively and so I can skip plugins (this has allowed me to pass over a few forum posts)
2) should I use Addon domains or Parked domains?
3) as cPanel makes addon domins with subdomains should I have installed multi site with subdomains instead of subfolders? Or does it not matter?
4) if I should use addon domains, is my setup with the doc root correct?
5) if I should use parked domains is there any special setting(s) I should look for?
6) is multisite (with Domain Mapping) supported when installed to sub folder instead of the web root (public_html)?
On my last login via iPhone the separate prompt was shown; not sure whether this is just a desktop browser issue – will continue to onvestigate
I have not tried disabling anything else, however when I did disable m2 it worked as expected.
I have 3 addons :
Advanced content
Individual post
Category protection(The last is what I think might be causing the problem?!)
I don’t appear to have any rules currently set
