I have checked the VA WSD the phantom thief plugin with WP User Frontend. It works fine with the WP User Frontend editor ( Post Content ) field. Insert a link in the front-end editor field and view the post.

Please make sure that you have installed and activated WP User Frontend for each site in the multi-site installation.

I recommend you to check the theme or plugin conflict. This solution might help you to locate where the problem is coming from.
