But that would change my footer to white and I like it in black, as it is. =P And even if I were okay with making my footer area white, I would then have to change all the white text in the footer to black text! =)

Yes it does! =) It was no problem at all really… I’m not even sure if I’m right about Platform being the free version of PageLines, so your apology might not even be necessary. ??

I downloaded and installed firebug, as per your recommendation, and I don’t really see how it’s that different from the default inspection tool in Chrome. But I’m not very good with any of this and there are a TON of options in both inspection tools that I don’t have a clue how to use… So I wouldn’t know the difference between Chrome’s inspect function and Firebug if it bit me in the butt! =P

YAY! I just entered “#pagination a {font-size:1.2em;}” and it worked perfectly!
Dare I ask how it works? What part of that CSS dictates what text the font size change is going to effect?
I don’t NEED to know how it worked, I just think, if it’s not too complicated to explain, that it would be in my best interest to understand why it worked.
    Thank you so much! =)

Yes, I can. But I’m not trying to change the color… I’m just trying to remove the thin line at the top of the page. =P

I added the CSS that you posted into the custom CSS area of Platform and it does nothing. If I change the #000 to something else, it changes the color of the black line at the top of the page AND the footer area at the bottom of the page.

Knowing that the black line at the top AND the footer area at the bottom are connected makes me question whether I can remove the black line at all.

Thank you for all your help thus far.

No. I would have specified that I’m using the “free version” but I thought that “Platform” specified that it was the free version as opposed to “PageLines”.
    Apologies for any confusion.

I don’t lose brownie points for pasting the same response as I did in the other thread that you asked me, do I? =P

After looking at your website for a few more minutes I have a bit of advice for you.
Unless the YouTube trailers that you are linking to are monetized, BY YOU, I suggest that you set it up so a click on a movie on one of the Genre pages behaves the same way as on your homepage.

    In other words:
When you are viewing the homepage, each of the images of the movies links you to another page, on your website, with: more information on the movie, an embedded trailer, an ad and an affiliate link. If they want to skip that page and go straight to the trailer, you have a text link below the image that allows them to do so. Good stuff here.

When you click on a Genre, such as “Action”, and then click on one of the movies, it pops up with the trailer and the user is never taken to the page that has the movie info, the ad and the affiliate link.

Perhaps you have a good reason for this but I figured you might be better off keeping the behavior the same as your homepage, for two reasons:

1: It’s a little strange to have such different a behavior, between the Genre pages and the Homepage, when clicking on a movie.

2: The page with the ad and affiliate link are clearly there to make you money… If you don’t let users get to that page, you’re likely to make less money.

Hope I was of some help.
If I wasn’t clear enough and you don’t know what I mean, let me know.
Also, if you need any more opinions on anything, let me know. =)

I think it looks incredibly clean… VERY nice.
Has made me want to look into setting up the top of my page like yours.
I really like how your header/logo area blends seamlessly with the red going across the top of your page.

    Apologies.
    My website is https://alternativefreedom.com/.
I’m refering to the Previous and Next links, on any typical WordPress blog, that allow you to see older and newer posts once you reach the bottom of a page.

I just realized that the thin black line is in some way connected to the black background of the footer.

Knowing this, I wonder if there is any way of removing the black line at the top of the page?
