It was black earlier, I just recently changed it to a light grey. The theme only provides the options “dark” and “light”.

We’re talking about the color behind “BREAKING NEWS”, “NV STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY REFUSES TO SEAT BERNIE SANDERS DELEGATES WITHOUT PROPER ID’S” and the post excerpt. It’s all the same light grey, at the moment.

One more thing, can you please tell me the css to change the color of the black background behind the “breaking news” post, at the top of the page?

Unfortunately, that only changed the color of the words within the navbar; breaking news, live tv, etc.

I am trying to change the color of the navbar itself from black to something else.

Although now I get a warning for the use of !important lol

When I uncheck the box next to “font-size” the text is the perfect size!
For some reason I just can’t get it to work on the live site.

UPDATE:
I just got it working! I used:

.cb-module-block.cb-slider-b .cb-post-title {
font-size: 30px;
padding: 0 40px;
}

I get a warning saying “Don’t use adjoining classes” though. Not sure if that’s bad?

Unfortunately, that CSS didn’t work.

I actually changed the website after posting this, that probably wasn’t smart on my part =P

I have added the slider I am trying to change to the bottom of the page.

The text is too large and in some cases covers over half of the image in the slider. That is the text I am trying to make smaller.

I am another person experiencing the same problem described by Ovidiu Zeicu. Would love a fix.

I figured it out myself. The following hid the Site Title but NOT the Tagline, perfectly.

a.site-title {
font-size:0;
}

Also, I have some social buttons (twitter, etc) in line with the Tagline. So once I managed to hide the Site Title the Tagline was sitting so close to the top of the page that the top of the social buttons were cut off a bit… So the following code added enough of a margin to the Tagline to allow my social buttons to not get cut off.

.site-description {
margin:1em;
}

Unfortunately that didn’t seem to hide the Site Title or the Tagline… but thank you very much for the attempt. =)
