i want to start my response by saying, i have had no server issues, or slowness, I find myself here just cause my mind wanders, and it landed me here.
this seems to be less of an issue in 2.7. i go from ~20KB before WP is initialized, to ~9MB when WP is done loading.

plus a few of my own custom plugins (with minimal usage of the options table)…
I did notice that if I enable a plugin like ‘Google Syntax Highlighter for WordPress’ the memory usage jumps to 20+MB. I am now looking for less memory intensive code highlighting plugins.
I have not tested the ‘more then 20 pages starts to make the system act real funky’ theory, I have about 10 pages… so far, no ‘funkyness’ to report.
anyone tested this before and after upgrading to 2.7?
