In reply to: WP TimeStamp still not working in 2.7.1Hmmm unfortunately there isn’t much progress in any of those links other than “Surprise, Surprise this wasn’t fixed in 2.71”, “Sadly this is still not fixed” etc. etc.
The tickets haven’t been updated in weeks.
I’m getting to the point where I may just pay someone to hack it for me, but again that’s not ideal because it will most likely be less secure.
I never made any changes to my server when moving from 2.6x to 2.7x and everything worked before that. No one has an idea on how to fix this?

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyOk, I think I’ll just wait lol. Hopefully it’s fixed in 2.71. I don’t want to make it worse by installing a beta and breaking my site.

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyHmmm, I’ll investigate; however, my host never changes anything unless I ask them to. In fact, I have a server management company and they say they won’t do anything unless I ask them too.
So I really don’t think this is a server issue. I’ll ask them to look at the thread and see if they can help; however, could you at least let me know if this will be fixed in WP 2.71?

In reply to: Missed ScheduleI pay for a dedicated server and have root access… so what do I need to change?

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyHey Jade,
I tried your steps actually (commented on your blog too) thanks for the help though but unfortunately this didn’t work for me.
Forum: Alpha/Beta/RC
In reply to: Missed ScheduleI am also having issues with this (started a post in the trouble shooting forum before I saw this one)

I really hope that the WordPress developers will fix this for 2.71. Even if it appears to be affecting a few users and not all. I’ve never seen any old support threads showing issues with this before…

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyHey Michael,
Is this the give up point then? I appreciate all your help, but my guess is that I’ve now run out of options.
Can you at least confirm if this will be fixed in 2.71?

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyDang… that didn’t work either. How could something work fine through WP and then on a new install of 2.7 not work? This is key functionality heh heh…
Any more ideas?

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyThis did not work. I changed from 0.01 to 10*60 but when I logged into my WordPress control panel it still just said “Missed schedule”
This is incredibly odd to me that in every version of WordPress I’ve used before it’s worked just fine and suddently it does not here. Granted this is a new installation on a new theme, but I don’t know why this isn’t working.

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyDisregard that last message I found the right cron file and have made the change. I’ve scheduled a post to go live tomorrow so I’ll let you know if it works.

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyThere is no “wp_remote_post” even in the wp-cron.php file that comes with the WordPress 2.7 package though…
I’m looking at the file that sites in the root directory called wp-cron.php should I be looking somewhere else?
(Sorry for delayed response I wasn’t able to even have time to try this out until tonight).

In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyInteresting… so if I just replace that file with the one I have it will work?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP Time Stamp is not working correctlyHey MichaelH thanks for the response, unfortunately I only have the default one that comes when you install WP.
Any other ideas?
<?php wp_list_cats('optioncount=1'); ?>
I had the above. When I replaced that with:
<?php wp_list_categories('show_count' => 1'); ?>
I got a parse error and the sidebar wouldn’t display. I also tried:
<?php wp_list_cats('show_count' => 1'); ?>
But that didn’t work either. What am I missing?
Where do I put that in the sidebar though?
