I think it did, thanks!
I am having the same, exact problem.
Manual works, automatic failed. Clearly, the automatic system is trying to write the files in another directory, but which one, and why?
wp-super-cache (is there a way to edit the title?)
Oh, I will esmi, I’m in fact off to sleep ??
Likewise.
One of my latest posts was not being tracked in the dashboard but visible in the full stats screen. But now, I get Your WordPress.com account, is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.
I have no idea what JetPack is so it can’t be the cause.
Can you please indicate from where to turn compression off in the plugin and whether it’s a recommended move to do?
Thank you.
I confirm anpsince83’s change does the trick, brilliant mate!
Fantastic.
This topic is now resolved.
Thanks a lot.
No problem ??
Actually, I want the other way around – to only refresh the HOME PAGE when new posts are made(or updated) and to leave it cached when comments are made as I don’t care about showing how many comments each post has.
I want to leave settings for all other pages unchanged.
Friendly and last bump.
Just a small note to say I am still experiencing this despite moving to a more powerful server. Not that I expected it to fix the problem but at least we know it’s not a machine problem.
Anyone can try it on his blog please just to confirm?

In reply to: Manual upgrade from 2.9.1 to 2.9.2 – any database changes required?Upgrade.php says “No Upgrade Required”.
Admin > Tools says “You have the latest version of WordPress. You do not need to upgrade”.
Shall I conclude that no database changes were done in the 2.9.2 update?
Cheers mate.
I upgraded the plugin but still had problems as the blog title and the name used in Google News are different. I therefore modified the PHP, line 174, removing the blogname variable are replacing it with the correct one.
$xmlOutput.= htmlspecialchars(‘Gunning Hawk’);
Of course this means I would have to do it again if a new version comes out, so maybe this can be a variable we can specify via the settings screen in WP?
But anyway, thanks again for the quick update ??
They changed the format of the XML I’m afraid.
Hopefully we’ll get an update soon.
