Okay, started to try doing that from the cPanel File Manager, only I can’t do a bulk import. So I tried using ftp manager Cyberduck, but am still getting error message and can’t upload. Cyberduck throws back permission errors for readme.txt and license.txt and then can’t read subsequent files.

It’s a new domain. Wondering if it has been set up properly – I wouldn’t really know because I don’t know about domain setup. I’ve sent a message to helpdesk support. Cross fingers.

    Seriously struggling here.

I tried reloading Web Disk Access on my computer (making sure I was using version OSX 10.5+ Leopard), and I tried deleting readme.txt and license.txt files, but I’m still getting the same error: unable to upload unzipped wordpress installation files to ftp (to public_html).

Any wordpress gods or godesses out there who can help?

    Hi there

I had this problem the other day too when I upgraded to WP 3.2.1. I read somewhere that it could be an incompatibility problem with WP 3.2.1 and one of my installed plugins, so I went through and deactivated all plugins and slowly turned them back on one by one. Turns out the last plugin was the culprit, and so I’ve left it turned off and everything is back to normal.

The culprit in instance was Jetpack. I’ve posted a query on their feedback page to let them know they have a compatibility problem.

    Hope this helps.
    Caroline
