It works! Thank you for helping me test.

I’m away from home but I tried your site using my iPhone. The book ad behaved expected so I think one of the content filters on my home network must be interfering with viewing the ad on my workstation.

I’ll retest when I get home this evening by putting my workstation on a public network to bypass filters.

OK, the Text view = HTML view threw me. I’m used to HTML pages starting and ending with <html> tags, then <head> tag,, <body> tag, and so on. The text view doesn’t have those tags so I assumed it was some kind of wiki markup language based on HTML.

With that out of the way, I still cannot get the code generated by Amazon to work. I tried pasting it at the end of a blog post and it’s not visible when I preview the page. The problem may be that preview cannot display it. Here is the code –

    <iframe style="width:120px;height:240px;" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" src="//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ss&ref=as_ss_li_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gearsofgeek0e-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=0984782850&asins=0984782850&linkId=c7d87c5d33b222710dd5e09d6b2b9bd7&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true"></iframe>

Text view will display the raw html code instead of rendering it to display the Amazon Associates product ad. That is why I need the HTML view.

I’m having the same problem. This question shows resolved but I don’t see details on how to resolve it. Can you share the solution?

Thanks. I had Yost SEO installed, looked all over my WordPress administration panel for a meta summary field, including the edit post page.

That notwithstanding, I looked again and found an edit snippet section at the bottom of ‘edit post’ page.

I must have missed it the first several times times that scanned and searched the administration panel for the words ‘meta summary’

I wonder why SEO articles call it meta summary but Yost SEO calls it ‘snippet. Not a big deal, but it makes it more difficult to find.

I’ve noted those ideas. Since I’ve got a gigantic to-do list right now, I’ll have to put troubleshooting on the backburner since my post is up and working.

Thank you very much for your help.

There’s something going on with the editor. I went back (again) and highlighted the link text, click on the “link” icon, pasted in the URL, and hit “ok” several times just now. The text did not become a link. I then typed the same text again on a separate line, linked it, and then then text became a link.

I ended up retyping in all of the links that did not work and linking them. Those worked so I deleted the original lines and cut/pasted the new links in their places.

This is with the Visual Editor, WP version 3.1.3 , IE 9, Windows 7. At least I know how to fix it now, but it cost me a lot of time to figure out.
