In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingThis problem is now recurring again. Is it something to do with the last update?

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingOh good! Is it possible that since I’ve tried to “test” signing up so many times using my own email addresses, that now it doesn’t ask me to put in the captcha anymore because it knows I’m already signed up?
Any thoughts on what would be a good way for me to continue testing things in the future? Do I need to delete myself off my subscriber list every time I need to do testing again?
Thanks @generosus! I don’t have any error in the console, so I guess I’m good. I appreciate your help.
Hi @generosus,
I put the first code into Appearance > Theme File Editor > Header and just above </head> and it seems to be working. I haven’t used your second code to reposition it.
For the third code, are you saying you saw an error as a result of the first code (which I’ve used) or the second code (which I haven’t used)? I’m not seeing any errors but I’m also not sure where exactly I would see an error or where to look for the error.
Thanks,

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingHi Bruna,
MailPoet still doesn’t work, people haven’t been able to sign up for my newsletter for over a week. Are the developers aware of this problem?
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the instructions. I put it in Learning Mode, tried to sign up using the form, and it gave me the error. Then I put it back in Enabled and Protecting mode, refreshed all the site cache and browser cache, and tried to sign up for the newsletter again. I am still getting the error.

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingHi Bruna,
Disabling plugins hasn’t helped. However I noticed the following if I choose the default built-in captcha option:
I did a test where I used the audio instead of the visual in order to write the captcha. The audio did not give the same letters that the visual did. If I put what the audio says, I get it right. If I put what the visual says, I get it wrong.
If I listen to the audio, it doesn’t match, and then I hit “refresh” so it will give me a new group of letters, NOW the visual finally matches what the previous audio said. But now the audio will be different. The audio is always one grouping ahead of the visual.

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingI don’t want to exclude every page with the newsletter form from cache because the newsletter form is on every single page across my entire site.
I did try to do Google Recaptcha but it either wasn’t working or I was doing it wrong.
This has never happened before, I’ve always had StackCache and MailPoet. There have been recent theme and plugin auto-updates so it has to be a new conflict from those I would assume. Maybe the recent MailPoet update or Kadence update. I could contact the support people for my theme, unless it’s the MailPoet update that messed it up.

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Captcha Not WorkingHi Bruna,
On Saturday I disabled the captcha entirely since it wasn’t working. I’ll clear the cache now. Are you wanting me to enable the broken captcha function again for your testing?
I see that someone else was able to sign up for my newsletter yesterday, Sunday.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] How to exclude SimpleBannerAlright, I’ll go ahead and mark resolved. Thank you!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] How to exclude SimpleBannerWill that affect lots of other things on my site? I have Autoptimize for site speed purposes, so if the “aggregate CSS” and “inline CSS” functions are helping me in different places throughout my site, I don’t want to disable them site-wide just to fix this one banner issue.
Is there a way to tell Autoptimize to exclude everything to do with Simplebanner, but keep its normal processes elsewhere? My host told me to put “wp-content/plugins/simple-banner/” in the “exclude” areas in Autoptimize but that didn’t seem to work.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] How to exclude SimpleBannerSo am I allowed to re-enable “aggregate CSS” or is that going to reintroduce the problem again? I don’t want to change my settings
