In reply to: Plugin to remove date, time, author?Hi,
Welcome to WordPress.
It is easy to edit and disable the date/time details by editing your theme. WordPress comes with an inbuilt code editor and once you get the hang of how WordPress is structured, editing themes is simple and mostly break-proof.
What is the theme you are using? If it is a free theme, I can take a shot at telling you which file to edit and what to change.
Thanks,

In reply to: error in BlogI think you seem to have activated the Launch Effect theme. It could be a guess, but as I am currently using it and I can’t see features like “Set Featured Image”. maybe your problem is related.
Try to change the theme and see if things work out.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: image problemsHi,
Can you share the URL please? I think the theme is sizing & positioning images and this will have to be modified.
Thanks,

In reply to: How to deactivate post previewI think your theme is automatically displaying only the initial few words. I can’t see the theme files, but I think you will need to edit either the index.php or content.php to fix this.
Being a paid theme, ideally, you need to contact your theme developers. They will be able to make this change.

In reply to: I have lost my blog! Can you login to your cPanel (or equivalent) and get to your database (phpMyAdmin or similar)? Please check if you can see data in your tables (wp_posts).
If the DBs are empty, you can ask your host for a backup and reload the DB to bring things back to normal.
Personally, I don’t think you have a problem with Google Indexing the site. Another thing, since the blog is in a sub-directory and not a subdomain (aka blog.askauntyann.com), it will not show up in “Manage Domains”
PS: If you see multiple DBs, you can get the right DB name by opening wp-config.php in the /blog directory.

In reply to: New post not showing upCan you see the post anywhere on your site? The first post I see on your site is “Imtech Marine Wins Connectivity Contract from Northern Lighthouse Board for 5 Ships (Posted 28th May)”. What should be the latest post?

In reply to: 'Read More' tag Not WorkingI just saw your updated website. It is a customized version of Forever, so it is hard for me to determine what is causing the issue. Adding the more tag will usually split the post text.

In reply to: Restricting access to a page link with username/password loginAre the links to other posts on the site? If so, you can publish the posts as a password protected page. (Right side menu -> Publish -> Visibility: Password Protected)
Though there is no user name, the user will have to enter the password before viewing the data.

In reply to: My site is slow to loadSeems to load pretty fast for me.
Pingdom rates your site faster than 65% of tested sites. (https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/)
From their analysis, the performance grade rates some caching improvements, which you can look at.

In reply to: 'Read More' tag Not WorkingThere is a “Continue Reading ->” feature in the Forever theme. I installed Forever on my blog and I can see the Continue Reading option. However as I scrolled to older posts, I could see your problem.
For some reason, if the post has a featured image, the “Continue Reading” option works fine but without a featured image, the whole post is directly shown.
A quick solution for you is to create a small featured image (Edit Post -> Set Featured Image at the right side of the screen) and add it to your post. You will see the “Continue Reading” option on the home page.

Can you post your website so that others can have a look?

In reply to: how to split categories page into multiple pagesHi,
I think you are using Vantage theme by SiteOrigin. I tested the theme on my localhost site and I can see that the category page paginates automatically. I think you should start seeing the page links at the bottom after 10 posts.
Thanks,
Ramesh
